Stefan Frederick Cook is a U.S. Army Major currently serving in the reserves. On July 8th, a day before being issued orders that will eventually have him serving in Afghanistan, Cook filed a lawsuit claiming he shouldn’t have to go. His reason? Barack Obama never produced an official Hawaiian birth certificate, making him ineligible for the presidency, and thereby nullifying his orders.
During the election, after months of requests, Obama supplied a “Certificate of Live Birth,” and used it to establish his US citizenship. No congressional hearings were ever held regarding the matter, despite the fact that they were held for John McCain.
Cooks lawsuit is just the latest in a long string of similar cases, two of which were dismissed, while another is currently working its way through the courts. The problem Obama faces, the reason legal issues continue to dog the matter, is the simple fact that there’s a big difference between the amended ”Certificate of Live Birth” that Obama supplied, and an actual longform Hawaiian “Birth Certificate.”
Chief among these is the fact that, in Hawaii, a “Certificate Of Live Birth” like the one Obama produced may be granted to anyone, at any time following their birth, regardless of where they were born. From the State of Hawaii’s Department of Health: “Amended certificates of birth may be prepared and filed with the Department of Health, as provided by law, for 1) a person born in Hawaii who already has a birth certificate filed with the Department of Health or 2) a person born in a foreign country.”
Even in Hawaii itself, the short-form “Certificate Of Live Birth” that Obama touts is not enough proof for some government programs. According to the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands, “In order to process your application, DHHL utilizes information that is found only on the original Certificate of Live Birth, which is either black or green,” the qualifications state. “This is a more complete record of your birth than the Certification of Live Birth (a computer-generated printout). Submitting the original Certificate of Live Birth will save you time and money since the computer-generated Certification requires additional verification by DHHL.”
Obama’s team has now spent millions fighting these cases, and new ones continue to be filed. Why doesn’t he just release the original long-form document? Perhaps it doesn’t exist? Not so, according to Obama’s own writings.
On page 26 of his 1995 book, “Dreams Of My Father, Obama writes “I discovered this article, folded away among my birth certificate and old vaccination forms” So, at least in 1995, Obama was sure of its existence, but now is spending a fortune to keep it from being released? If he’s lost it in the intervening years, can’t the Hawaiian government produce a copy? For that matter, why, when Obama chose to release the “Certificate of Live Birth,” did he not give it to the Board of Elections, The Federal Elections Commission, or the Democrat party? Instead, he gave it to a non-binding, non-profit website, “factcheck.org,” which is funded by the Annenberg Foundation – the same organization that introduced Obama to admitted terrorist Bill Ayers, and which the President vigorously rebuked during the election.
President Obama, this matter is not going to go away. You can end it instantly by releasing the long-form document. If you want this soldier give his life for his country, shouldn’t you be willing to produce your birth certificate for it?

It’s not that the soldier doesn’t want to fight, or is scared too. The point is that the Chief in Office was NOT born as an American. How the hell is this man in office? Oh, I know it’s the idiots and free thinkers, who elected him. If you do’t like this country then leave, but don’t make it a socialized place for the rest of us.
I have a son who is currently serving in Iraq – has been there since March 2009 and hopefully will come home late December/early January. He is in the Indiana Army National Guard and his MOS is Military Police. Reserves is no different. Once these soldiers receive their orders for deployment, they must go. Once federalized – they are no longer “weekend warriors.” I hate that term now. They are every bit soldiers just like our regular Army when deployed – in every way – pay, rank, living conditions, risk of death. They can and will bleed the same red as those in the “regular” Army. No one forced them to join either the Guard or the Reserves. They can still be federalized and deployed. I am ashamed of this Major. He brings shame to all branches of the military and trivializes the sacrifices of all brave men and women, and of their families, serving in the military. Since there is no draft – they ALL volunteered to do what they are doing. Eyes wide open folks. Stop the excuses – if you don’t want to risk deployment, then don’t join. Period. We don’t need all this BS about whether or not the President is a citizen and thus his orders are not legitimate. It’s just plain and simple an excuse to whine about one’s circumstances – that could have been avoided by resigning or by not signing up. You took the money – now pay up with your time. This is coming from a very proud mother of a soldier serving honorably in Iraq to protect our freedom.
Do you really think that the President of the United States and all of the available tools to that office could not produce a fake document for Barack if that was the only issue? Why is it the Birther’s demand an old fading document? If you truly beleive that he is lying then you would beleive that he could fake this document anyways?

If one is born out side the USA from an American Mother and Father The parents must go to the nearest American Consulate and show them the Birth Certificate, That way the register the birth and it is entered as a U.S Citizen born out side of the USA. If this doesn’t happen….Then your a Citizen of that country…I know it happened to my ex wife. her mother failed to register her, when she went to change her Social Security to show her married name she was informed that she was not a U.S. Citizen, she asked her mother who was and she said that she didn’t know she had to register her. The Major is simply making a point. All of us must prove we are citizens to some degree to receive some or all of the benefits of being in the USA. This is particularly true if we aspire to political or leadership positions as did the Major and Barak Obama.
Barak made the comment in his first book that he travelled internationally in 1981. He doubtless did that with a valid passport. Interestingly, He applied for a United States Passport for the first time around 1994, some 13 years later.
You have several options in providing the needed documentation for application for a United States Passport. The records there may provide the answer as to his actual citizenship at the time of his birth.
I am more interested in knowing where Barak’s mother, Stanley Ann Dunham was geographically at the time of Barak Obama’s birth however. Knowing that for a fact would greatly assist in relieving most, if not all, of this issue.
All of this debate is irrelevant. The fact that Pres. Hussein will not produce a document that proves he is an American citizen says it all. My husband is active military because he loves being a soldier. But it is difficult for him to even go to work every day now, feeling that his commander in chief doesn’t have his back. So I understand how soldiers being sent away to fight have issues with his refusal to produce a valid BC. I believe he is the Antichrist whose mission is to first destroy America. It’s the only explanation for how he got where he is, as well as his behavior and actions since.
A look to the future. It’s now 2069, The economy is strong, there are no more wars, there is health care for all people in US, there’s no rascism, there’s equality for all and Obama fixed it all. In his memoirs Obama now says he was born in Kenya….Who cares…..

Even if President Obama was born in Kenya he’s still a U.S. Citizen born abroad JUST LIKE MCCAIN because his MOTHER was a U.S. Citizen born and raised in KANSAS (can’t get more American than that). BTW, I lost my ORIGINAL birth certificate years ago due to many moves and my sister-in-law lost hers due to a house fire. According to your logic here, neither one of us can prove we’re truly US Citizens because we don’t have the ORIGINAL birth certificate. Well okey dokey. Obama’s grandmother, I believe, indicated she was with his mother in a delivery room when Obama was born in Kenya. When the grandmother was near death, I find it strange that Obama never took his family with him to see her. I suspect he was born in Kenya and then rushed to Hawaii. If this is a true story, then his presidency should be declared null and void.
From my perspective, This is a really sad testament of current American values and it really shows the rest of the world that the america, as a whole, is not mature enough to be the leaders of the “Free world,” as it were.
After 200+ years, there is still so much hatred, jealousy, anger and insecurity, in a large enough cross section of the american people, to paint a sad and scary picture. Amaericans as a people, really need to take a collective hard unbiased and honest look in the proverbial mirror, to make sure that they truly and collectively, represent all of those high values and standards that they want the REST of the world to live up to.

Which in turn breads the perception of american weakness. Just remember the united states is but one country on this planet, we are ALL connected, and we ALL really do need each other to prosper and to continue to advance the one actual RACE that we ALL are…..Human!

I for one back this Major. It is his Amarican right to want to real proof that his Commander and chief was born in Amarica. In response to post #52 I was medically retired from the army in Feb 2009 I served 8 years in the active duty Army and 2 of those years I spent in Iraq. The reason I was medically retired I recieved 3 purple hearts while serving in Iraq . I was hit with an RPG, Blown up by a road side bomb and shot on top of a bridge in Bagdad while trying to save my fellow soldiers and my best friend all because the national guard, who you say are the same as the regular Army, were serching cars at the bottom of the bridge were being lazy as usual and did not check all the cars and let a teroist move to the top of the bridge were he blew his car up and killed 2 soldier. My best friend was one of them. active duty soldiers would have never let him go. And yes all the reservest are lazy just like they are. They are not even close to being like the regular army it insults me to even hear that. In my opinion we need to do away with the reserve and national guard and just have the active duty. Besides this document, there are several other things that fall into place here that makes it worth questioning the man we are turning our courty over to.
The best thing you can do is do you own research. Look at all of the information not just what you favorite sources give you. You sure to see that there are a lot of things happening here that will make you atlease ask some questions.

I read all these things about his Birth certificate and all he has to do is just release his Birth Certificate Not a Certificate of Birth which would not be accepted in almost any State including Hawai as for getting Lisense and other things.
